| There will be tools for artwork and creative writing; support for, and - if you choose - facilitation of and/or sharing in awareness, mindfulness and meditation practices; books and music.
Many people also choose to spend time out in the hills and mountains on slow walks. Slow walking is about taking time to be in our surroundings with all our senses; to stand and stare just as often as we want to, and to enjoy the simplicity of walking without the need for challenging goals. We’ll show you our favourite walks, provide maps, nature and walking guides, transport to/from the beginning/end of walking routes, rucksacks, poles, binoculars and picnic lunches. Counselling/therapy/focusing sessions can be integrated into a still.point retreat, and massage/bodywork sessions may be booked as an optional extra. If you have transport it may be also possible to attend morning and/or evening yoga sessions at a centre (English speaking) 4 kilometres away in a neighbouring village. A still.point retreat is designed to feed all the senses and so we include good food and wine: that means all meals from dinner on your arrival day to lunch on departure day, with a few random treats thrown in along the way. Whether alone or with a partner you’ll enjoy sole use of La P’tite Maison: a spacious self contained suite on three levels comprising sitting room, double bedroom with chill out/meditation space on the mezzanine, and shower room. There is a shared library space, with small reading area, on a gallery above the main house dining room. Outside, we have an acre and a half of beautiful natural garden areas with various terraces, sunny and shaded spots for reading and contemplation, and a covered outdoor salon and dining area. The grounds give directly onto the surrounding woodland. |
